We invite you to Yoginah’s first official Yoga Retreat in a place so dear to our hearts, which has played a key role in our own learning and conception of Yoginah to where it is today.
For 9 nights you will be immersed in tradition. You will meet and practice with some of our teachers and experience Yoga in its entirety. Incredible Ayurvedic Food, Daily Yoga and Meditation, Fire Ceremonies and Rituals all set amongst the Goan Jungle, a place of pure peace and tranquillity.
What could be more relaxing than waking to the sound of birdsong each morning or drifting off to sleep with the sound of the breeze in the trees? You are immersed in nature. Not a luxury Yoga retreat, rather a true, raw Yoga immersion at its purest where you will be cared for and nurtured, starting the year with Samkalpa (intention).
Join us for a holistic and authentically spiritual retreat experience; a unique journey into Yoga, Meditation and ultimately yourself.

Nestled within the natural beauty and lush tropical jungle of Assagao in Goa, India, we are welcomed to SWAN Yoga, Meditation & Ayurveda Retreat, a space of Yogic Tradition and the abode of our teachers Gyanmitra and Shivendra, whom taught us Yoga using the age old methods of the Gurukula (traditional Indian teaching method).
We will spend 9 nights nestled in the hills of this beautiful Indian jungle, a space that draws upon the healing powers of Mother Nature. Water is heated via solar panels and the campus was constructed using 60% recycled products, designed to blend into the surrounding forest. From the moment you enter the Yogic Village, you will be transformed by the vibrancy of not only the lush plant life, all of which is indigenous to Indian jungles, but also the vibration of Yogic Sadhana and Yogic Rituals.
As well as Eco-friendly accommodation, the campus includes two Shalas, Dining hall, Ayurvedic Spa, Juice Bar, Fake Beach, Temple, small boutique shop and plenty of chill out spaces.
Located only fifteen minutes away from the beach and just outside of the township of Mapusa.
Eco friendly, village-like accommodation, an oasis designed to help transform the weary urban dweller into a revitalized force of nature. It’s simple but modern, with necessary conveniences like Free WiFi available throughout the campus – but not to the point to where the human mind becomes separated from Mother Nature.
There are three tiers of cottage to choose from, to suit different needs and budgets, all made of natural, locally sourced, eco-friendly materials, and named the after the seven chakras and different Hindu deities.
You can stay either on your own (Single occupancy price pp) or with a friend (Shared occupancy price pp). If you wish to share, you must know who you are sharing with, and the cost is per person (pp). If we have a number of people wishing to share, we can attempt to pair you up, but this is not guaranteed. i.e. if there are not enough people wishing to share at the same level of accommodation then you would have to pay for single occupancy so therefore you should be prepared for that.
All accommodation is allocated on a first come first served basis.
(4 Available with Twin Beds)
Budget in price but not in luxury. The Eco-Friendly Budget cottages are divided up into separate row rooms, like a terraced house. Each have individual outdoor entrances and their own adjoined private bathrooms, it’s the perfect accommodation for 1-2 budget travellers.
Every room is named after the four brothers of Ramayana – an Indian mythological scripture – and features two twin beds with mosquito netting, a ceiling fan and a large, curtained window to filter in natural light.
You can also enjoy the rush of cool air with the company of your neighbouring guests at the communal covered patio, equipped with outdoor seating by every room entrance.
(1 with Large Double & 6 with Twin Beds)
These spacious private cottages are all facing east and provide a beautiful view of the sunrise over the jungle trees. The Ayurveda facility and the organic vegetable patches can be seen from the cottages.
Named after the seven chakras, each standard cottage features two double beds with mosquito netting, ceiling fans above each bed, a private adjoined bathroom, two curtained windows for maximum air circulation, and a covered private patio with a lounge area.
The cottages have been made by a traditional method of construction which was used in building the yoga ashrams in ancient times. Keeping tradition yet not compromising on the needs of the modern living, the cottages have functional toilets with all necessary basic facilities.
