Purdy Smith
Purdy is one of the Yoginah Directors, Studio Manager and teacher.
Along with her partner, Yoginah was born from a desire to create a cool, community space in Reading where people can come and practice good yoga, whilst also learning about its philosophy and how it can be used practically today as a life science, to support a healthy body and mind.
Purdy's love and respect for the traditions of yoga and passion for wellness shine through during her classes in a way that is relatable to everyday life. During her Vinyasa classes, you can expect a well-rounded practice with the right balance of playfulness and professionalism. You will not be bombarded with an overwhelming amount of alignment cues but instead be guided through a safe practice with focus towards the breath. The class will be powerful both physically and spiritually and you will be sure to sweat. During her Yin and Meditation classes she aims to gently guide you deeper towards the self.
As well as teaching Yoga, Purdy's background is in Corporate Wellbeing and Human Resources. For over ten years she has worked closely with people, managers and organisations to create and deliver strategies and practices within the workplace that really do look after the people within them. She is a qualified Life Coach, Spiritual Counsellor and Reiki practitioner.

Belen Ballesteros
Belen started practicing Yoga 17 years ago at the local gym in addition to regular swimming and gym routines. It gradually started taking over until she literally caught the Yoga bug!
Belen teaches Yoga classes with verbal alignment cues and hands-on adjustments to serve the students better, both to encourage a correct execution and to help them go deeper into each asana.
Belen focuses on the link between breath and movement as a tool to be present and practice mindfully. All levels are welcome as different modifications are offered to keep the practice interesting and challenging for everyone. Use of yoga blocks is also encouraged.
Expect a class where you will have to concentrate but also enjoy yourself, whilst the background music and Belen’s sense of humour will balance the hard work with a smile. You will leave the class feeling invigorated, stretched, and happier!

Louise Croxson
Louise understands the need to balance the yin and yang of our busy lives, to create space and balance on an off the mat. Originally from London, she trained as a Chartered Accountant, but struggled to find satisfaction in the corporate world. Her introduction to yoga over 15 years ago opened her heart and mind. In 2017 she completed her 200hr Vinyasa Yoga training at Sangye Yoga School with Cat Alip-Douglas, a teacher she has know for over 15 years.
When she is not on the mat, Louise can be found swimming, running or cycling. An experienced age group triathlete, multiple national champion and international medallist she understands the importance of a balanced body and mind. Both yoga and competitive sport enable her to play with her edge and challenge her physical and mental limits.
Her intention is to guide students through an energetic, playful practice, combining conscious breath with movement. A practice that promotes mind body connection and creates space in the body and mind so that we can become more self-aware and let go of our reactive tendencies. With the goal of becoming a kinder, more compassionate and happier being.
She is tremendously grateful to all her teachers and students, on and off the mat who continue to inspire her.

Keri Perkins
Prior to focusing on yoga, Keri was leading PR and Communications teams for big brands.
Through a chance meeting with an old friend in the Austrian Alps, Keri was introduced to Jivamukti
Yoga. After promising her friend she would give yoga a try, Keri discovered all those years ago in her
very first class, that she was only focussing on what she was doing in that moment and her breath.
Keri’s personal journey of yoga practice has helped her with the stresses of a hectic job travelling all
over the world, as well suffering from the anxiety of giving presentations, which she admits she became
an expert at avoiding.
Her passion for asana (postures) and meditation combined with music particularly drew her to Jivamukti
yoga, where nada (the yoga of sound) is an important tenant of the practice.
Keri strongly believes as we are all essentially sound vibration that by listening to music and vibrations
during the yoga practice, whether electronic, classical, hip hop or a resounding OM, helps destress and
better connect us to ourselves, our surroundings and ultimately each other.

Yvonne O\'Garro
Yvonne has been practising yoga since 2006 and teaching since 2018. Yvonne graduated with a 350-hour Yoga Teacher Diploma and holds a 33-hour Restorative Practices both from triyoga, London. Yvonne is passionate about Restorative Yoga and the benefits it can have on our bodies; the practice allows the nervous system to shift from “fight or flight” into a relaxation response (Sympathetic to Parasympathetic nervous system). Restorative yoga poses are all supine and are held between 5 - 10 mins; using bolsters, blankets, and blocks to aid your relaxation and allowing you to reconnect with your breath whilst being fully supported by the props. The practice increases your wellbeing as the calming environment lifts your mood, contributing to stress relief.
Yvonne had a long career as a HR Business Partner where she recently switched to full time yoga teaching to achieve both personal balance and to increase the opportunities to share the benefits of Restorative & Hatha Yoga.

OmTirth
OmTirth, known most often as just Om, has been a teacher of yogic philosophy for many years. His style blends vedantic knowledge from the Upanishads with yogic philosophy and Tantric practices, making him a unique guide to Indian spiritual tradition.
Born in central India into the lineage of monks and priests of the Ramanujacharya tradition, in childhood Om trained under his father in the philosophy of Lord Buddha, the study of Indian mythology, and the practice of Vipassana. In pursuit of spiritual knowledge, he lived for many years in an ashram where he studied vedantic philosophy and the practices of yoga and tantra in the Sannyasa tradition. Later, he continued his spiritual practices, making many pilgrimages to various tirthas in India, and was initiated into the tantric tradition of Juna Akhara in the lineage of Adi Shankaracharya on the banks of the Narmada river.
Om now teaches the practices of yoga and tantra and the philosophy of Indian spiritual traditions to yoga teachers and students of ancient Indian knowledge through both one-on-one sessions and workshops.
